How?

The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, serving as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues and formulating policy recommendations addressed to member states and the United Nations system.

The Youth Forum, held annually by ECOSOC since 2012, brings youth into discussions on the Millennium Development Goals and the post-2015 development agenda. It offers a unique opportunity for youth to voice their opinions, share ideas, and think together about what they can do to achieve sustainable development.
For more information, please visit www.un.org/ecosoc/en/ecosoc-youth-forum.
In 2015, the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto Generalate) was granted special consultative status with ECOSOC and a youth between 18-35 years of age was invited to attend the the Youth Forum.

In 2019, we will be sending a Youth Representative to the Youth Forum.

We need your help.

We would like you, with your class or other group organized for this initiative to prepare a short statement (300-1000 words) on how your school/college and local residents, is taking action to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
