POVERTY AWARENESS WALK
Date: Sunday, February 8th, 2015 Time: 1:00pm Location: The Mary Ward Centre, 70 St. Mary Street This winter, there has been a significant increase in the number of homeless people who have died on our city streets. Please join us as we walk the streets of Toronto and learn more about some of the realities of homelessness. Our time together will include preparing and distributing sandwiches. YOUTH FOR OTHERS SOCIAL JUSTICE DAY
Date: Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 Time: 10:00am - 2:30pm Location: The Mary Ward Centre, 70 St. Mary Street Canadian Jesuits International, in co-sponsorship with The Mary Ward Centre, will bring together high school students for a unique day of learning, reflection and solidarity around international social justice. The theme this year is ‘Uprooting Injustice’. This day of learning, reflection and workshops, will leave students with an understanding of the inseparable link between faith and the promotion of justice. It will also encourage students to consider how they can be ‘youth for others’ and work for justice in solidarity with the poor and marginalized at home and in our global community. |
THE LOOKING ForWARD CONFERENCE

Students will have the opportunity to engage in mentorship from women who are currently doing work in which they have the needs of the greater community in mind. Students will learn from, dialogue with, and network with these women as a means to get to know what their own gifts are and how they can be used to do good.
