About the Event
Join us in Toronto for the Blue Scarf Peace Walk, a community gathering celebrating the International Day of Peace and inviting people of all cultures, faiths, and communities to walk together for peace.
The Blue Scarf Movement began in Kabul, Afghanistan, with young Afghan Peace Volunteers working toward a vision of a Border Free World Without War Under One Blue Sky. The blue scarf represents the one sky we all share, beyond borders and differences.
We will gather at the Mary Ward Centre to learn about the Blue Scarf Movement and the story behind its message. We will then take that message into the streets with a Peace Walk to Queen’s Park.
Come walk with us and make peace visible in our city. Everyone is welcome. Bring a blue scarf if you have one!
