About the Event
The FIFA Soccer World Cup will take place in North America this summer. This major sporting event is expected, according to organizers, to attract 10 million visitors to 16 cities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Such large-scale population movement calls for heightened vigilance regarding the risks of human trafficking. What should we expect? How can we respond in a relevant and coordinated way?
On May 12, 2026, at 3PM EDT, one month before the start of the games, we invite you to an international webinar bringing together seven organizations working to combat trafficking across the Americas. Topics will include prevention strategies, cross-border coordination, and lessons learned from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Panelists will speak in Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation available in French and English.
