About the Event

FCJ Refugee Centre, in partnership with Mary Ward Centre, are proud to present an immersive half-day experience for the national Victims and Survivors of Crime Week 2026, exploring the realities of labour exploitation spectrum in Canada.

Through a guided exhibition touching on the realities of labour exploitation, and a launch of the FCJ Refugee Centre’s podcast series, Permission to Exploit, we will explore stories drawn from lived experiences, as participants will move through the various stages, from recruitment to exploitation.


The event will also feature a short panel with workers, advocates, and experts, to invite reflection, dialogue, and action.

Refreshments, including tea and coffee and some light snacks, will be provided at the event.
