Participation in the preparatory groups of the Global Forum of Migration and Development (GFMD).

As MWC, and in coordination with the IBVM/CJ UN Office, we participate in the UN NGO Office of Migration and are part of the preparation of the  GFMD. We participated in two preparation work groups related to Regional Cooperation, Migration and New technologies, Media & Culture, and Climate Change and Labour Mobility.

The Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) is the most significant space on the global agenda to promote an open and transparent dialogue on the governance of international migration”. From IBVM and MWC Canada, we are planting our tiny seed in this regard.
