Migration is not the issue; the issue is how governments around the world manage migration flows.

On March 29, 2026, the Mary Ward Centre visited farms in the Niagara region, connecting with Latin American temporary migrant workers on vegetable and flower farms. It was a day grounded in listening. We heard stories, experiences, and, importantly, questions. Many workers shared ongoing uncertainties about their rights—both in their home countries and here in Canada—even after years of participation in the program.
