Worldwide, there are more than 123.2 million people forcibly displaced from their places of origin; 60% within their own countries, and more than 43.7 million are refugees in other countries.
Violence is the main reason, caused by internal conflicts and international wars. It is fueled by economic and political interests; by cultural and religious situations; and by racist and xenophobic agendas.
